Jake Hurysz to Return to Boulder

Former Colorado Buff, Jake Hurysz, will be returning to Boulder this August to join Hudson Elite. While at CU Jake put together a very impressive collegiate career including earning 4 All-American honors, notching a school record in the mile, and being part of the 2014 National Championship Cross Country team. Coach Brad Hudson states, “we are very happy to have an athlete with Jake’s versatility and talent. In the coming months and years we will focus on building his power endurance and overall strength to develop him into a world-class athlete. His addition to Hudson Elite is the first step in our goal of adding depth to our men’s roster. We are looking forward to him joining the team!” With stout PRs like 3:58.09 in the mile, 7:50 in the 3,000m, and 13:38 in the 5,000m, we are excited to be part of what we will know will be an impressive post-collegiate career. Hurysz shares our enthusiasm in saying “I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to move back to Boulder and train under Brad. I believe that his group has a lot of potential, and I’m excited to be part of something special.” Look out for big things to come from Jake down the road as he returns back to Boulder, a place he believes has played an important role in his past success.
